Exploration Place to present severe weather safety class

Exploration Place will present “Storm Fury on the Plains,” a severe weather safety class, from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday in the Kemper Creative Learning Studio.

Chance Hayes of the National Weather Service will lead the class. Sedgwick County Emergency Management is co-sponsoring the event.

Admission to the class is free and on a first-come, first-served basis.

Attendees can get discounted tickets to Exploration Place exhibits at $4 per person and $2 tickets per person to the dome theater, showing “Wildest Weather in the Solar System.” To receive the discount, attendees must purchase tickets from 9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. before the class starts.
