A man who thought his roommate had stolen his money and gone to a neighbor’s house ended up in jail Thursday because of the way he chose to handle things, police said.
Shortly before 2 p.m., the 53-year-old man took a gun with him to the neighbor’s house in the 900 block of North Indiana, which is northeast of Murdock and Mosley, Lt. Doug Nolte said. He demanded to know if his roommate was there, pointing a gun at the 57-year-old man who lived there.
He returned home after the neighbor insisted his roommate wasn’t there, Nolte said. Police were called, and officers obtained a search warrant.
Drugs and guns were found at the suspect’s house, and he was arrested on suspicion of drug and weapons crimes, Nolte said.
