Strong thunderstorms are possible early this morning in the Wichita area, forecasters say, and more showers and thunderstorms are expected later today.
Winds in excess of 60 miles an hour and hail the size of quarters are possible with the storm as it moves from central Kansas into the Wichita metropolitan area.
Highs today are expected to reach the low 70s today, with south winds in the 20s. Showers and thunderstorms continue tonight, with lows in the upper 40s.
More rain is likely Tuesday, when highs will climb into the low 60s.
