The Kansas Leadership Center has chosen two regional groups for its new Academy for Team Leadership.
Visioneering Wichita’s Health Alliance and Project 17 from southeast Kansas will participate in the new program.
The alliance is part of Visioneering Wichita, a long-range planning effort for south-central Kansas. In 2010, the alliance brought together partners from more than 60 agencies to select health priorities and set an action plan that would require newly engaged leadership and new ways of working together, a news release from the Kansas Leadership Center said.
Project 17 aims to improve economic and health conditions among the 17 counties of southeast Kansas that represent the poorest and least-healthy region of the state.
Through the Academy for Team Leadership, the center will provide leadership training for up to four years and 400 people.
