WICHITA – After a chilly start this morning, Wichitans can expect another beautiful day full of sunshine and simply autumnal temperatures.
Today’s high will reach the low 60s, under sunny skies, according to the National Weather Service. A whisper of west southwest wind will blow over the area, staying in the single digits to low teens. Skies will be mostly clear overnight, with temperatures dipping to the low 30s. Breezes will remain calm at around 10 mph.
Friday boasts another unseasonably mild day with lots of sunshine and a high in the upper 50s. Slight breezes will likely stay under 10 mph. Westerly winds will switch to the south by Friday night, forecasters say. Evening temperatures will be in the low 30s, under mostly clear skies.
Forecaster say the sunny, clear conditions will continue Saturday. The high will be in the lower 60s, with south winds in the teens, gusting to the mid-20s. Overnight, Wichitans will see mostly clear skies with a low just above the freezing mark.
Cooler temperatures are in store for Sunday and early next week, with highs expected in the upper 40s for New Year’s Day.
