Wichita can expect another sweltering day with no relief from the heat in sight, forecasters say.
Expect sunny and hot conditions today, with highs reaching 105, the National Weather Service reports. Southerly breezes will be in the low- to mid-teens. Gusts could top out at 24 mph.
There will be mostly clear skies tonight, with temperatures falling to the high 70s or low 80s, forecasters say. Residents should expect south winds in the low teens with gusts up to 22 mph.
The string of sunny and hot weather continues Thursday through the weekend, with highs hitting triple digits.
An excessive heat warning remains in effect until Saturday at 7 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.
