Isolated showers are possible this morning in the Wichita area, forecasters say. Then skies will clear and temperatures will soar into the mid-90s.
It’ll be windy, too, with south winds intensifying from the upper teens to nearly 30 miles an hour. Gusts will approach 40 miles an hour.
Skies should be clear by nightfall, and lows will slip only to the low 70s, forecasters say. Friday and the weekend should be mirror images of each other, with mostly clear skies and highs in the mid-90s.
