Two Wichita QuikTrip stores were robbed Saturday morning for the second time in two weeks.
The first call to police came at 12:45 a.m. A 22-year-old clerk at the store at 1610 E. Lincoln told police that a man walked in, said he had a gun under his shirt and demanded money.
After the clerk complied, the robber ordered him to the floor and left.
At 6 a.m., police responded to a call at the QuikTrip at 3216 E. Harry. A 21-year-old clerk told police that a man came in, said he had a pistol and demanded money. After the clerk handed over the money, he left.
The robber's description was similar in each case: a black man about 6 feet to 6 feet 3 inches tall, in his 40s or 50s, wearing a red shirt. The first clerk said he was also wearing a dark hat and glasses.
The same two QuikTrips were robbed the weekend of May 14 and May 15 by a person matching a similar description.
