Cloudy skies, north winds and highs in the upper 30s do not sound like a cheerful forecast for the Wichita area, but that’s what today will offer, forecasters say.
Those north winds will be steady in the teens and gust to about 20 miles an hour. Drizzle and freezing drizzle are possible before midnight, before it transitions to freezing drizzle overnight. It could last through mid-morning Saturday, forecasters say.
Highs will reach the mid-40s, with northeast winds touching double digits. More stormy weather is possible Sunday, so monitor forecasts closely.
