WICHITA — The Urban League of Kansas and Newman University will hold a town hall meeting to explore and discuss the future of education in Kansas.
The event is scheduled for Wednesday, March 2, at Newman University's Dugan Library. It will begin at 7 p.m.
A panel of educators and community representatives will discuss current and future challenges facing the state's education system, as well as explore opportunities to bring about positive change.
The panel will include John Allison, superintendent of Wichita schools; Noreen Carrocci, president of Newman University; Jackie Vietti, president of Butler Community College; Bobby Gandu, director of admissions at Wichita State University; Tony Kinkle, president of the Wichita Area Technical College, and Mildred Edwards, executive director of the Kansas African American Affairs Commission and representative for the Kansas Board of Regents.
Michael Schwanke of KWCH, Channel 12, will serve as moderator.
