Southbound U.S. 169 reopened earlier today after it had been closed for several days while crews repaired a water main break.
Inspectors with the Missouri Department of Transportation had to monitor the concrete where a water pipe broke to make sure the right lane could withstand heavy traffic.
The highway closed Saturday night after a water line that broke last week near the downtown airport began leaking again. The highway was closed from Missouri 9 south across the Broadway Bridge.
About 18,000 vehicles a day use the southbound lanes.
