ST. LOUIS | A St. Louis ballet instructor is facing charges of statutory rape.
Authorities allege that 64-year-old Torris Caston had sexual contact with a 16-year-old female student in 2005. The alleged victim came forward earlier this year.
Caston is jailed on $75,000 bond and it wasn't immediately clear if he had an attorney.
Caston is founder of the Caston Ballet Studio in Webster Groves and since 1987 had been an instructor at McKinley Classical Leadership Academy in the St. Louis school district.
