A 58-year-old Wichita woman was killed Friday night in a head-on collision in northwest Arkansas, authorities said.
Karen Langenegger died after the Hyundai she was a passenger in was struck by an Acura that crossed the center line at 8:40 p.m. on State Highway 12 four miles east of Rogers, according to the Arkansas State Police.
The Acura was driving east at a high rate of speed when the driver, a 48-year-old Rogers man, lost control on a curve and went into the westbound lane.
Langenegger was killed in the collision. Four others — two from each vehicle — were taken to hospitals in Rogers and Bentonville, authorities said.
