BURLINGTON -- The search for a missing 11-year-old boy in Coffee County has been temporarily suspended due to the freezing of the lake where the youth is presumed to have drowned.
"This is one of the most frustrating tragedies to deal with and the weather is not cooperating, we will continue as weather permits," Sheriff Randy Rogers said.
The John Redmond Reservoir has iced over, and the search will resume one the lake has thawed, Rogers said.
Jeremy Jenkins has been missing since a boating accident which killed his father and uncle Dec. 4. They were hunting waterfowl at the time the boat capsized, authorities said. The bodies of the adult men washed ashore.
