The final application period for help from the Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Program starts today and extends all this week.
Because of the tremendous demand, officials said, this application period will be the last until further notice. The program assists those in imminent danger of becoming homeless – be it from eviction or foreclosure.
Applications are being accepted from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. today through Friday, but applicants must first call 211 for a preliminary screening.
Applicants must have a stable or consistent income, or immediate plans to obtain income – whether it be wages, government payments, child support or unemployment benefits.
Annual income cannot exceed $22,300 for one person, $25,500 for two, $28,300 for three, $31,850 for four, $34,400 for five.
