A Kansas City man has been charged in Platte County Circuit Court with exposing himself at a Northland Starbucks in October.
Brian K. Swanson, 41, was charged this week with one count of sexual misconduct. Swanson exposed his genitals to an employee of the Starbucks at the Target Store located on Skyview Drive, near Interstate 29, said Platte County Prosecutor Eric Zahnd.
According to court documents, on Oct. 1 about 5 p.m., Swanson ordered a venti caramel macchiato and paid for the drink with a credit card. Swanson allegedly exposed himself as the employee gave him the drink.
Zahnd said Swanson allegedly raised his hands above his head, causing his T-shirt to rise, exposing himself. Swanson took the drink and immediately left the store, Zahnd said.
Swanson was arrested and was later released from custody after posting a $3,500 cash bond.
Zahnd said Swanson pleaded guilty in 1993 to indecent conduct in Kansas City Municipal Court and in 2005 to indecent exposure in Gladstone Municipal Court.
Swanson is scheduled appear in court on Dec. 21. If convicted of the misdemeanor, Swanson faces up to six months in jail, Zahnd said.
