WICHITA -- One person was seriously injured early this morning during a robbery at a house in northeast Wichita, authorities said.
Police were sent to a house in the 2400 block of North Minnesota shortly before 4 a.m. after someone called 911 claiming there had been a shooting, a Sedgwick County dispatch supervisor said. Officers found a 24-year-old man with serious injuries and a second person with minor injuries.
One had been pistol-whipped and the other clubbed, the supervisor said. The victims said two suspects came into the house and robbed them. At least one of the suspects was armed.
The 24-year-old man was taken to Wesley Medical Center for treatment.
