A Wichita man has pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court to distributing 400 images and 107 videos of child pornography on his home computer.
Andy Nghiem, 30, appeared Monday in the U.S. District Court in Wichita. He faces a penalty of not less than five years and not more than 20 years and a fine up to $250,000. Sentencing is scheduled for Oct. 18.
Nghiem's case began two years ago with an investigation that led investigators from Germany to Wichita. It began Sept. 16, 2008, when German Federal Police first contacted agents with Immigration and Customs Enforcement with evidence that child pornography was being distributed over the eDonkey2000 file sharing network.
A search warrant was served on Nghiem's home in Wichita on Feb. 4, 2009.
