WICHITA — The man who knocked on the back door of the Burger King on West Street early this morning wasn't making a delivery. He didn't want a Whopper, either.
He had a gun, and ordered the manager who responded to the knock to give him money, police said.
The manager ran from the confrontation at 5:15 a.m. in the 400 block of South West, and the robber took a bank bag from the restaurant.
He left the store on foot and headed north, the manager said. He was an unknown black male between 5-feet-8 and 5-feet-10, weighing between 150 and 200 pounds.
He was dressed in a dark jacket, had a dark mask over his face and was armed with a handgun.
