A cool front is expected to drop high temperatures several degrees in the Wichita area today, forecasters say. Northerly winds will be steady in the teens and gust to about 20 miles an hour.
With little moisture in the air to work with, however, the front will not trigger showers. Instead, overnight lows are expected to dip into the 40s, forecasters say, and Friday should see similar conditions – though winds are expected to shift back to the south and southeast.
The weekend should be dry and pleasant in the Wichita area, with highs in the low 70s and upper 60s.
