Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney has endorsed Mike Pompeo in the 4th District congressional race, the campaign announced today.
Romney was a Republican candidate for president in the 2008 primary season and is considered a likely entrant into the 2012 race.
Romney praised Pompeo’s business background and said it would be good preparation for serving in Congress.
“We don't need professional politicians in Washington, D.C., we need more leaders with experience in the workplace," Romney said in a written statement.

Pompeo, a Republican national committeeman, is facing state Rep. Raj Goyle, D-Wichita, in the race to succeed outgoing Rep. Todd Tiahrt, R-Goddard.
