Wichita police were searching Sunday for a woman they believe may haverobbed the T.J. Maxx store on West Kellogg.
The robbery was reported shortly after 9:15 p.m. Saturday, according to
Sgt. Steve Yarberry, spokesman for the Wichita Police Department.
"She entered the T.J. Maxx store indicating she had a handgun and
demanding money," Yarberry said. "The clerk gave the suspect money and
she left on foot in an unknown direction."
The suspected is described as an African-American woman in her
20s, weighing 250 pounds and about 5 foot 6 inches tall. She was last
seen wearing a gray shirt, tan pants, a plaid jacket and had a blue
bandanna over her face.
Yarberry said no one was injured in the robbery.
