KU chancellor Bernadette Gray-Little announced today a six-member committee that will conduct a nationwide search for the Jayhawks' next athletic director. The chancellor has said she hopes to have a new athletic director in place by the end of the spring semester.
Ray Evans, managing partner of Pegasus Capital Management in Overland Park and a KU football player from 1978 to 1980, is the chairman. The other members are:
— Kenneth L. Audus, KU pharmacy school dean
— Ritch Price, KU baseball coach
— Linda Ellis Sims, ExxonMobil Corp. account executive
— Debbie Van Saun, associate athletic director/senior women’s administrator
— Thomas Ward, president and CEO of Russell Stover Candies
Sean Lester is serving as KU's interim athletic director following the resignation of Lew Perkins.
