Wichita police are searching for three men they believe beat, stabbed and robbed a 25-year-old man early Sunday as he was walking home from the QuikTrip at 55th and Broadway.
The robbery happened at 3:30 a.m. Sunday, police said.
The man told police that, as he was walking, three unknown men approached him from behind and yelled at him.
As the victim turned around, one of the men swung a knife at him, striking him in the chest, said Sgt. Steve Yarberry, spokesman for the Wichita Police Department.
"The victim fell to the ground and was beaten by all three suspects, and a wallet containing cash was taken," Yarberry said.
After the suspects left, the man was able to get up and run to his home.
He was taken to Via Christi Hospital on Harry by private vehicle and was treated for multiple stab wounds to the chest.
