No morning surprises for commuters in the Wichita area today, forecasters say. Mostly sunny skies are expected, with highs climbing into the low 50s and east winds staying in single digits.
Clouds will become more numerous tonight, however, and by morning there will be a slight chance for showers, forecasters say. Because overnight lows will drop only into the mid-40s, that moisture is not expected to freeze on elevated streets, ramps and highways.
The temperature is expected to soar again Wednesday, reaching the low 60s before another plunge arrives late in the day.
