At least three people were in custody Sunday after shots were fired late Saturday in a parking lot outside the Wichita State University Rhatigan Student Center.
The incident happened shortly after 11 p.m. where nearly 300 people had gathered for a fraternity party.
Wichita State University police were called when several fights broke and at least six gunshots were fired.
“While some suspects were confronted by Wichita State University officers, (a) vehicle charged toward the officers .æ.æ. and officers discharged rounds as well,” Wichita police Sgt. Colin Gallagher told reporters at the scene.
No one was injured, he said.
The car was later located at 14th and Pershing.
Wichita police are assisting in the investigation.
