National Weather Service forecasters now say some snow could be mixed in with the rain coming to the Wichita area later today.
It won’t be enough to accumulate, I’m told, but don’t be surprised to see snowflakes in the air. It’ll be much like last Friday night, when big flakes mixed in with the rain that fell.
Officially, a trace of snow fell Friday, so Wichita’s already had its first snowfall of the season. It just wasn’t enough to qualify as the first measurable snowfall of the season.
Today isn’t likely to be, either.
Snow is already falling in Russell, and that colder air may slide far enough south to reach Wichita.
