WICHITA — Two men robbed a bank near 21st Street and Tyler this morning, and police are still looking for the suspects.
A south Wichita elementary school went into lockdown for more than an hour after witnesses reported a maroon Dodge Magnum - which matched the description of the getaway vehicle - parked near the townhomes at West and 31st Street South, authorities said.
Cleaveland Traditional Magnet Elementary, near 33rd Street South and West Street, was in lockdown for about 90 minutes after that report.
Two men ran from the vehicle and eventually disappeared into the neighborhood east of the complex, Capt. Rusty Leeds said.

Police blocked several streets east of the complex and began searching the area, but had not found anyone by early afternoon.
The incident began when the Sunflower Bank in the 8700 block of West 21st _ near Tyler _ was robbed at about 10:15 this morning.
Initial reports indicate the suspects went through the drive-through.
Leeds said one of the suspects struck a teller in the head with the butt of his gun, and that witnesses saw a backpack thrown out the window as it drove down Central.
