Wichita police are investigating an aggravated battery incident that happened at 9:35 p.m. Saturday near Funston and Mosley.
A 16-year-old male reported being hit with a wooden stick by a 37-year-old female. The attack left him with a broken tooth and a cut to his forehead, according to Sgt. Steve Yarberry, spokesman for the Wichita Police Department.
The boy was taken to Via Christi Hospital on Harry.
The woman was arrested and booked on suspicion of aggravated battery.
The police report did not indicate what the relationship between the two individuals are or what may have caused the incident, Yarberry said.
