The newly renovated Arrowhead Stadium will host a concert next summer after a 10-year break from music.
Country star Kenny Chesney brings his show to Kansas City on July 30.
Tickets go on sale Dec. 4 at 10 a.m. at www.ticketmaster.com.
A presale for the show will be offered to the Kenny Chesney Official Fan Club as well as Kansas City Chiefs season ticket holders. Jackson County residents will also be offered a ticket presale.
Opening acts will be the Zac Brown Band, Billy Currington and Uncle Kracker. The Zac Brown Band is at the Sprint Center Sunday night.
Arrowhead has not had a major concert since George Strait performed there in 2001. The football stadium has not been filled for a nongame event since the Billy Graham Crusade in 2004. For more information on the show, check out the post on the Chiefs website.
Elton John was the headline act at Arrowhead’s first major concert in 1973.
John also rocked for 18,000 fans at the Sprint Center's opening on Oct. 14, 2007.
Chesney will play eight other football stadiums on this tour:
