WICHITA _ A Wichita stylist clipped a new world record, after 72 hours of hair cutting.
Patrick Lomantini set a Guinness world record for continuous haircuts, from 9 a.m. Thursday to 9 a.m. Sunday, according to his publicist.
Lomantini, who owns a salon at 1812 S. Seneca, buzzed through 227 haircuts, all free of charge. He donated $1,625 in tips to the Kansas Humane Society.
"It was extremely difficult physically and mentally," Lomantini said in a statement. "There were times when I had my doubts, but my support team did a great job keeping me going and keeping the appointments coming in."
