Drivers going to work this morning should watch for patches of fog that could block their visibility during rush hour traffic, forecasters for the National Weather Service said today.
The fog should lift by 9 a.m., giving way to sunny skies. It will also feel more like August than the last couple of days, with a high reaching 95 degrees. Wind gusts are expected to reach as high as 21 mph.
Tonight brings a 20 percent chance of thunderstorms, the weather service said, especially after 1 a.m. Some strong storms with winds up to 50 mph are possible tonight and Friday. Tonight's low will be around 75 degrees.
Friday's forecast calls for mostly cloudy skies, a 30 percent chance for showers and a high near 93 with wind gusting up to 28 mph.
