Thunderstorms that rolled through the Wichita area Saturday evening helped cool things off. The storms also brought 0.36 inches of rain to Wichita over the weekend, more than doubling the rainfall total for the month.
Sunday, with a high of 87 degrees, was the coolest day since July 9, when the high was 86. It also was just the fourth day this month below 100 degrees.
