Authorities looking for a central Kansas teenager who has been missing since the weekend said Tuesday night that a body has been found outside Great Bend.
But there was no immediate word whether officials think the body is that of 14-year-old Alicia Debolt.
The Great Bend girl was last seen around 11 p.m. Saturday getting into a newer sport-utility vehicle. She is 5 feet 4 inches tall and 118 pounds.
Officials with the Kansas Bureau of Investigation said the body found Tuesday was sent to Wichita for an autopsy and identification.
Never miss a local story.
Great Bend Police Chief Dean Akings told KWCH-TV he could not disclose much information yet. However, the chief said law enforcement officers who had been searching for Alicia were “focusing in a different direction” late Tuesday.
