At least three men have been taken into custody and five people critically wounded following a disturbance Sunday at Buffalo Park in west Wichita.
Wichita police were called at 3:50 a.m. Sunday to Wesley Medical Center West, where three people walked in with stab wounds, said police spokesman Sgt. Steve Yarberry.
The victims told hospital staff they had been stabbed at Buffalo Park. The victims were taken in critical condition to Via Christi Hospital on St. Francis and to the main campus at Wesley Medical Center.
Yarberry said two other victims drove themselves downtown and called 911; they also were transported in critical condition to Via Christi Hospital on St. Francis.
"It appears two groups got into a disturbance at Buffalo Park," Yarberry said.
The victims, all male, range in age from 23 to age 15.
