WICHITA — Six women and two men were arrested during a prostitution sting this weekend, police said.
The sting, which used decoy officers and undercover vehicles, was conducted between 6 p.m. Sunday and 4 a.m. today on North Broadway between Central and 13th Street.
The six women were arrested on alleged offenses linked to prostitution and the two men were booked into jail on suspicion of drug-related crimes, police said.
The women ranged in age from 21 to 46, according to police documents. One was arrested at Elm and Topeka, while the rest were arrested on 10th or 11th Street next to Broadway or Topeka.
The men, ages 34 and 44, were arrested in the 500 block of North Topeka.
