WICHITA — A 14-year-old boy is in the pediatric intensive care unit at Wesley Medical Center today after being seriously injured in a truck-ATV collision in Sumner County Sunday night.
The collision occurred at 8:22 p.m. in Geuda Springs, the Sumner County Sheriff's Office reported.
An Arkansas City man was driving east on 150th Street South when the teen entered the road in front of the truck as he was riding south on an oil field access road.
The truck driver's line of sight was limited by trees on the north side of the road, the sheriff's office reported, and the truck hit the ATV.

Both vehicles ended up in the south ditch, with the truck resting on top of the teen.
The victim, who lives in Geuda Springs, was transported by air ambulance to Wesley. The investigation into the collision is continuing, the sheriff's office reported.
