WICHITA — The Broadview Hotel is selling pretty much everything — including sinks — from more than 230 hotel rooms in a liquidation prior to a massive remodeling of the historic hotel.
The sale gets under way at 9 a.m. Thursday at the hotel, 400 W. Douglas, and continues for about three weeks, officials said. Sale hours will be 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.
Furnishings from 231 hotel rooms and suites will be sold, along with granite bathroom sinks.
Also for sale are chandeliers, furniture from public spaces and furniture and fixtures from the Speak Easy Bar, Le Parc Restaurant and Chisholm's Bar and Grill.
The Broadview closed on April 17 to launch a $28 million renovation expected to take 10 to 12 months.
The hotel, which opened in 1922, will be known as the Drury Plaza Broadview Hotel when it reopens for business.
