WICHITA — When a north Wichita man rejected two men's efforts to sell him items from a pickup truck, one of the suspects swung a knife at him, police said today.
No one was injured, and police later stopped and arrested the two suspects, police Capt. Darrell Atteberry said.
The incident occurred about 1:20 p.m. Wednesday in the 2500 block of North Payne.
The two suspects, ages 31 and 41, pulled up in a pickup and offered to sell the resident a bicycle and truck grill in the back of the pickup. When the 29-year-old resident became suspicious and said he was not interested and that he would call police, the 31-year-old suspect pulled out a knife and swung it at the resident, Atteberry said.
