WICHITA — A man was taken in serious condition to a Wichita hospital this afternoon after he was stabbed in the back and chest by a neighbor, Wichita police said.
Lt. Sam Hanley said the victim and suspect, both in their 40s or 50s, lived in opposing apartments on the upstairs floor of a brick apartment building at 1726 E. Waterman.
He said the victim, who was stabbed in his own apartment shortly before 2 p.m., was taken in serious condition to Via Christi Regional Medical Center-St. Francis Campus. The suspect was arrested at the scene.
"We don't know exactly what started the argument," Hanley said.
