WICHITA — Police have no suspects in the shooting of two men at a busy intersection not far from downtown Monday night.
The victims were driving south on Hillside near First Street at about 6:40 p.m. when another vehicle pulled alongside them in the next lane, police said. Someone in the second vehicle, a white Trailblazer, fired six to eight shots at the victims.
The driver, a 33-year-old man, was hit once in the ribs. His passenger, a 44-year-old man, was hit in both wrists by two shots.
The victims drove to Wesley Medical Center for treatment. The 33-year-old man is in good condition today, while the passenger was released at about 10 p.m. Monday.

Authorities are not sure what the motive for the shooting might be, police spokesman Gordon Bassham said, but possible gang connections are "certainly being investigated."
