WICHITA — Sedgwick County Sheriff's Deputy Angelique Farris has been named the eighth recipient of the Michael S. Reele Award.
The award is given in recognition of a sheriff's office employee who has consistently and most notably displayed the core values of integrity, duty, ethics, attitude, leadership and service while fulfilling the mission of the sheriff's office during the preceding year.
Farris, a nine-year veteran of the force, is currently assigned to the Sedgwick County Jail. She was honored earlier this month.
The 2009 Sheriff's Reserve Deputy was also named, with the honor going to Reserve Deputy Toby Myers. Cadet Sgt. Christian Hood was honored as the sheriff's cadet of the year.
