WICHITA — Acting on a Crime Stoppers tip, police on Thursday swooped in on a house, arrested three people and confiscated what aurhorities described as a substantial amount of marijuana.
The bust transpired at 12:35 p.m. in the 1200 block of North Jackson, spokesman Gordon Bassham said. Officers arriving at the scene arrested two 19-year-old men as they tried to flee.
The 49-year-old woman who owns the house was also arrested. Officers confiscated "tens of pounds" of marijuana worth "tens of thousands" of dollars, Bassham said.
"It represents a significant amount of marijuana off the street," Bassham said.
