WICHITA — A record number of babies — 6,585 — were delivered at Wesley Medical Center in 2009. That's about 300 more than in 2008.
"Wesley has set a birth record each year over the last 11 years," Paul Petitte, Wesley vice president of marketing and public relations, said in a release. "That trend demonstrates that women throughout Kansas know that they are in good hands when having a baby at Wesley."
Wesley is known as "The Baby Hospital." It has two birth facilities: the freestanding BirthCare Center for low-risk deliveries and the Women's Hospital for more complicated births.
