An 18-year-old man was shot in the neck early today on Benton Boulevard at Truman Road.
The man remained in critical condition. He had been riding in a vehicle with two women after leaving a club about 1:25 a.m. They noticed a white sport-utility vehicle following them. When they stopped at the intersection’s red light, the SUV pulled up alongside, and an occupant fired about 15 rounds.
The driver drove directly to a hospital. Police found three bullet holes in the vehicle -- one through the windshield and two in the driver’s-side door.
Police did not release a motive.
