WICHITA — Five people were arrested and 14 citations were issued during a DUI saturation patrol conducted by the Sedgwick County Sheriff's Department over the weekend, authorities said.
The patrol was conducted between 11 p.m. Friday and 3 a.m. Saturday. Three people were arrested for driving under the influence, one for drug violations and one for a weapons violation, authorities said.
The citations were written for various traffic violations. The resources for the saturation patrol were paid for by grants provided through the Kansas Department of Transportation.
