The parents of a 7-week-old girl brought to a local hospital with head trauma last week have been arrested on suspicion of child abuse.
The baby was brought to Via Christi Regional Medical Center-St. Francis Campus early on the afternoon of Sept. 16.
An investigation determined the infant's injuries are consistent with shaken baby syndrome, police said today.
The child's 26-year-old father and 21-year-old mother were arrested Wednesday at their home in the 1500 block of West Pawnee.

The child was placed in protective custody after being taken to the hospital, police have said.
