Transit riders are now going to be on par with freeway commuters.
Starting today, Kansas City will provide e-mail alerts to bus riders, reminding them when there next bus is arriving and whether it’s late. Bus riders also can go to the bus agency’s Web site to track the bus as it traverses city streets.
The service being offered by the Kansas City Area Transportation Authority is very similar to what Kansas City Scout offers to drivers on the area’s interstate system.
