WICHITA — Police have arrested a 31-year-old man in connection with several robberies of payday loan businesses over a three-month period.
The man was arrested Friday morning as the result of "dogged police work," Capt. Darrell Haynes said.
He and another suspect are linked to 11 robberies or attempted robberies between April 19 and July 28: of six payday loan businesses, four motels and one restaurant.
The two men may have worked together in some of the robberies and handled the others individually, Haynes said.
Police are still looking for the second suspect, who has been identified.
