ST. GEORGE, Mo. | A 2-year-old girl is dead in St. Louis County after a car carrying her and two relatives crashed and caught fire.
The accident Saturday in St. George also severely burned the 25-year-old woman who was driving. The woman was taken to a hospital for her burns. Her condition is not known.
A police spokeswoman did not immediately return a phone call to The Associated Press for comment Sunday.
The victims' names have not been released.

Police have said that the woman was driving with her 3-year-old child and the 2-year-old relative when she thought she heard the older child choking. The woman crashed after reaching behind the seat to help the child, and the car's gas tank somehow ignited.
The older child was not harmed.
